Fort Calgary:

 NOT RATED YET
Want to learn about the founding and growth of Calgary?
Then Fort Calgary is the place to be.

The fort was originoly founded in 1875 by the North West Mounted Police
Who established a fort on the junction on the Bow and Elbow Rivers.
They came to secure the law and order and stop the Whiskey trade.

Now you can still feel the live in the recreated fort of 1875.
So go and experince the live of a NWMP (Mounted Police) and see how
they lived in there Barracks.

Next to the fort there is also the posibility to take a scenic
streetcar tour through early Calgary.

Next to all the exitment you can also take a leisurely stroll
along the banks of the Bow and Elbow rivers.

But be careful what you do because the Mounted Police also have jail cells!
